Its very trendy to reminisce about the 90′s.
And why not?! It boasted awesome things like Seinfeld, Crystal Pepsi, Rocco’s Modern Life, low-unemployment rates, solid economy, and movies like “Titanic”, “Pulp Fiction”, and “Boogie Nights”.
cue boogie nights gif…
But not everything was great.
In fact, some of it was down-right gross (ahem…mullets).
Here’s some things from the 90′s I really don’t miss:
1) The OJ Simpson Trial:
It was just obnoxious and the “White Bronco Chase” disrupted a “Saved By The Bell” episode.
It also creeped me out because we used to live a few blocks from Nicole Brown’s house.
2) “Super Mario Brothers: The Movie”, “Batman and Robin”, and “Home Alone 3″
Although the 90′s gave use brilliant films like “Clerks” and “Pretty Woman”, it also gave some horrible, poorly acted, and poorly written movies. Also, I should note that Alicia Silverstone’s only good movie in the 90′s was “Clueless”, any other movie was cursed.
3) Tattoo Choker Necklaces
Because nothing says classy like a fake neck tattoo.
4) The Microsoft Office paper clip
I guess this was the pre-auto correct only 100 time more annoying. It would make lame suggestions and undermine you no matter what you typed.
5) Former Vice President Dan Quayle
Because he was the genius behind these smart quips:
“I love California, I practically grew up in Phoenix.”
“It’s wonderful to be here in the great state of Chicago.”
“This president is going too lead us out of this recovery”
On second though, I totally miss Dan Quayle.
I could use the material for my stand-up routines.
What do you not miss about the 90s?
